Privacy Policy

About this policy

This policy explains how personal information is used to run The Belfry Last Man Standing football competition through its website and mobile apps. The competition is administered privately by its organisers.

Information we use

We use information needed to administer the competition, including player names, participation and eligibility status, recorded entry-payment status, team selections, rounds, results, standings and competition history.

The service also processes technical information required for access and operation, such as PIN-based sessions, device or authentication information and, where enabled, push notification subscriptions or device tokens. We do not need your precise location to operate the competition.

How we use information

Information is used to register and identify participants, manage rounds and picks, enforce competition rules, calculate and display standings, preserve relevant historical results, support organisers and protect account access.

Player names, selections, results and standings may be visible to other participants as part of the competition, including historical picks used to understand how the game has progressed. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Notifications and device access

If you enable notifications, we use a push subscription or device token to send relevant competition updates, such as new fixtures, pick reminders, kick-off and match events. Notification permissions can be changed in the app or your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your participation in the competition.

Where supported, biometric access is managed by your device. The app uses the device's authentication result and does not collect or store your fingerprint or facial image.

Legal basis

Personal information is processed where reasonably necessary to administer the competition and provide the service participants expect, including the organisers' legitimate interests in operating the competition fairly and securely. Optional device permissions, such as push notifications, are controlled by you.

Service providers and security

We use technology providers for hosting, databases, authentication and message delivery. Information may be processed by those providers as needed to operate the service. Appropriate technical measures are used to restrict access and protect stored information; no online system can guarantee absolute security.

How long information is kept

Competition and pick history may be retained to administer current and previous games, resolve questions about results and maintain an accurate record. Account, device and notification information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes or applicable legal obligations. You can contact us to ask about your information or request deletion where appropriate.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion where appropriate, or restriction of or objection to certain processing. We may need to retain some competition records where there is a legitimate reason or legal requirement to do so.
